Everyone Eats · No One Pays
Pull up a chair. There’s a place for you at the table.
Every meal we make is shared freely. This isn’t a service and it isn’t charity — it’s people cooking, gathering, and eating together. Bring an appetite, bring a dish, or just bring yourself.
Regular Meals
The Shared Table, every Saturday
You’ll find us at Criterion House every Saturday, laying out whatever’s been cooked and grown that week. Here’s what usually makes it to the table.
Every second week
A chef-prepared curry
The New Sydney Hotel donates a chef-prepared curry, beginning 12 September 2026. Fragrant, generous, and always a favourite.
Every second week · alternating
A small Japanese soup
Shoko shares a small Japanese soup on the alternating weeks — warming, delicate, and made with real care.
Every single week
Christiaan’s steady staples
No matter the week, Christiaan brings roast vegetables, boiled eggs, and cold chicken pieces — the dependable heart of every Saturday table.
Current Needs
What the table could use right now
A shared table works best when it’s shared. If you’d like to add something, these are the dishes we’re most looking for at the moment.
Salad
Fruit salad
Please have a quick word with Christiaan before you bring something along, so we can coordinate and make sure everything on the table fits together.
Get Involved
Everyone belongs at the table
Come along and eat. Bring a dish to share. Volunteer your cooking or a few ingredients. However you show up, you’re contributing — and if you’d rather just sit and share the meal, that’s contributing too.
Come along
Turn up on Saturday at Criterion House and share the meal.
