Food Hampers — Ready Support When Needed

We maintain food and essential goods boxes that can be shared directly with people when the need arises. These hampers are practical, flexible, and designed to provide immediate support.

Some are stored at the Shared Table, making them available during gatherings. Another is kept mobile in our vehicle, allowing support to be offered on the spot — whether during outreach, visits, or unexpected moments in the community. And another at home.

Each hamper typically includes a mix of food and basic items, depending on what is available. The aim is not to standardise the contents, but to keep them ready so they can be passed on quickly and respectfully.

This approach allows support to happen naturally. A conversation at the table, a request for help, or meeting someone while out in the community can all become opportunities to share a hamper.

Food hampers form part of a broader, relational model of outreach — simple, direct, and responsive. By keeping boxes both at the Shared Table and mobile, support can reach people where they are, when it’s needed most.
