Our Mutual Aid

We share nourishing meals with dignity and belonging, inviting everyone to participate in a circle of care.

Events

Shared Table

Instead of a traditional cafeteria line, food is placed in large bowls on a communal table. This encourages conversation, breaks down social hierarchies, and creates a sense of belonging rather than a “charity” dynamic.

The Free Market

This activity transforms a standard distribution into a mutual aid free market. By setting up dedicated tables and baskets filled with essential goods, we create a space where the community can browse with dignity and take exactly what they need—no questions asked, no forms to fill out, and no money involved.

Rapid Kindness Network

Rapid Kindness Network is a community-led support network connecting people, resources, and practical acts of kindness in real time. We help respond to everyday needs through food relief, donations, transport, outreach, and grassroots community care.

Bread Not Bombs

On Saturday and Sunday using a dedicated vehicle we transport high-quality, rescued produce in multiple large baskets to homes, community hubs, social housing complexes, and churches.

Rescue-to-Plate Cooking

Throughout the week we partner with local supermarkets and bakeries to collect “ugly” produce or end-of-day bread, turning potential waste into high-quality, nutritious meals or distributing through our events.

Co-Hosted Events

About once a month we hold weekend gatherings that focus less on “relief” and more on fun, music, and community bonding to combat the isolation often felt by those experiencing homelessness. These events fuse with the usual event valuing the regular diners as a transferable experience.

Pete’s Packs

Pete’s Packs provides practical food hampers and heygine kits and sleeping gear for people staying in the local shelter and emergency accommodation. Packed by volunteers and supported by community donations, each hamper contains essential food items to help individuals through difficult times with dignity and care.

Street Feeds

Taking the kitchen to the people. Using vans or trailers to bring hot meals, coffee, and supplies to specific parks or street corners for those who may not be able to travel to a fixed location.
